In the mid to late 19th century, many western forces began to take action on unclaimed territory and began to expand their empire. In this chapter we will look in deeply and analyze how these European countries fought fought these lands and how some countries were able to become imperial super powers. The effects of imperialism on the world are prevalent to this day now, as we see portions of Africa and South America suffering to pay taxes and follow British and French laws. In a sense European imperialism has brought the world together closer, but also has caused some tensions that have led to war. On this website, we will go into depth on the British control over India, imperialism in Central and Southeast Asia, imperialism in Africa, and also the English writer Rudyard Kipling.
